Duty. Truth. Honour. The Official Podcast of the TPA
TPA Official Podcasts
We have completed our first six episodes of “Duty. Truth. Honour. The Official Podcast of the TPA”. In collaboration with Obie & Ax. Inc., and hosted by VP Brian Callanan, the podcast aims to provide our members and our communities with information on issues that matter most in a 30-minute conversational style format.
In Episode 1, President Jon Reid discusses how the policing environment continues to change rapidly and services across North America are faced with the critical issue of maintaining a resourced, trained, and equipped workforce. As workload and service demands increase, a lack of resources continues to weaken members’ ability to engage proactively with the community and deliver community policing.
In the next episode of Duty. Truth. Honour. We take a look at the team effort that goes into supporting more than 8,000 uniform and civilian members. While some may think the Toronto Police Association is only made up of the Board of Directors, the truth is that there is an entire group of management and administrative staff who all have important roles to play when it comes to day-to-day business. Newly hired Chief Communications Officer Meaghan Gray talks with Vice President Brian Callanan about the skills, knowledge, and experience available to members through this unique and diverse team of TPA employees.
In this episode of Duty. Truth. Honour. We talk about a key TPA priority: the health and well-being of 8,000 uniform and civilian members. We believe an organization is only as healthy as its most valuable assets, its members. That is why we continue to advocate for our members and provide sustainable ways to improve and promote their health and wellness. In this conversation, Director Pete Grande sits down with Vice President Brian Callanan to discuss what support is available and how any member can access our confidential services.
